How we write about our own work

Stage words, evidence labels and the claims we will not make.

OceanBlu · 4 October 2026 · 4 min read

Young companies are tempted to describe themselves at the stage they hope to reach. We have decided not to.

Stage words, always

Every product, project and venture we mention carries its true stage: research, concept, in development, pilot, operating. Blu Box, for example, is in development, and that is how it appears on this site.

What we will not say

  • That something is available before it is.
  • That a proposal is an award, or a prospect a client.
  • Numbers we have not measured.
  • Names of the organizations we work with, unless they have agreed in writing.

Why

Trust is slow to build and quick to lose. A decision-maker should be able to check anything we say against our records and find it true. That is the standard we hold this website to — and the reason some pages say less than you might expect.
